
First I sketch the desired outline.

Then I shade the edges, here I have used a light pink shade.
Now I fill out the remaining with a darker shade.
I darken the edges with brown or black.

For the leaf, I repeat the procedure, this time using yellow

Yellow is followed by light green
I dab a little darker shade of green and then finish it off with brown/black edges.
These are the crayons I used. There is not much difference between crayons and oil pastels in terms of application. You will just need to practice shading.
For emboss painting, I get the kits and it has all the required paints and surfaces. I add a bit of fabric paints too. It is mostly the patience required for the shading...

The crayons which i used here is ordinary crayons(My kid's).You can ask the shop keeper for 'oil pastels'.Camel oil pastel 25 shades box is available for Rs.45/-
